Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The depth model runs locally on your device with Core ML. Photos, depth maps and sessions stay on your device.
Is Depth Mapper free?
Yes. Depth Mapper is free, and there is no subscription.
Which devices are supported?
Depth Mapper runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
What is the difference between “Fast” and “Full”?
“Fast” caps the long edge of the image at 2048 pixels for quick results. “Full” renders at the original resolution of your photo and takes longer for large images.
What does Bias Correction do?
Depth models can treat the top and bottom of an image differently. Bias Correction estimates depth several times — using flipped copies, vertical tiles, or both — and merges the results. “Combined” gives the best quality but is the slowest. Use the Standard-versus-Corrected comparison to decide whether it helps for your photo.
Can I change the color map after processing?
Yes. B&W, False Color, Inferno and Turbo can be switched at any time; the depth map is recolored without recalculating the depth.
How do I organize my depth maps?
Every depth map is saved as a session. Use the collections feature to group sessions, and use the context menu on a session to rename, move or delete it. You can also swipe to delete.
